200 pages of Coin Op summed up quickly. A long time ago (and yes it feels that long), Dan walked into the local arcade at the Hicktown mall to find the manager up and left town for reasons yet unknown. After a call to the home office, Dan found out he got the manager position by default. Dawson, being the only other employee, earned the Assistant Manager title...and doesn't seem to like this fact. We go for a bit with stupid people and silly things that mean nothing until Kaori shows up wanting a job. Dan agrees to hire her, and we end up losing her thanks to Dawson being a pervert. Dan, not really happy at this point, tells Dawson to hire the next person who walks in. Dawson gets John a job, not really aware of the history Dan and John have. Dan doesn't like this, but decides (against better judgement) to let John stay for now. Add more silly things...then we jump to the other Dan appearing while our team is playing a game. The other Dan wants a job, and Dan hires him too.
From there we have hallucinations, dream sequences, alternate realities where people get baseball bats shoved in places they should go, girls getting bikinis ripped off of them, and visits from a guardian angel who has a really lousy attitude. One day, I guess they'll talk about video games.....until then, just laugh at them. |
